1. The statutory objectives of the Polish Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics include:

a. promotion the issues of clinical pharmacology among physicians to improve effectiveness and safety of therapy

b. participation in activities with the aim to rationalize therapy and economize treatment

c. research activities including:
- clinical trials carried out by the members of the Society

- organization of scientific conferences

- cooperation with other domestic and foreign scientific societies acting in areas connected with clinical pharmacology and medicine

- publishing scientific journals, monographs and other papers

- establishing a scholarship for young scientists realizing scientific projects from the area of clinical pharmacology

d. participation in regional, multi-regional and academic ethical committees for scientific research

e. cooperation with pharmaceutical industry

2. The aims are to be achieved by:
a. elaboration, actualization and implementation of teaching programmes in clinical pharmacology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels

b. organisation of courses, conferences, symposiums and congresses in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics

c. cooperation with Agencies for Drug Safety Reporting and Drug Information

d. activities supporting establishment of National Unit of Specialists in Clinical Pharmacology, positions of clinical pharmacologist in hospitals and regional specialists in clinical pharmacology

e. elaboration of scientific opinions and decisions concerning research and clinical evaluations of drugs
