Polish Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics was founded in 1997 and it organizes clinical pharmacologists, physicians leading clinical trials, experimental pharmacologists, pharmacists and people interested in a development of clinical pharmacology as a scientific discipline.
The main aim of the Society is to support and initiate trials that result in obtaining the highest effectiveness of clinical therapy and methods of their risk assessment.
The aim is achieved by improving and harmonising the teaching of clinical pharmacology for both undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as postgraduate courses for physicians.
Polish Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics organizes a wide range of conferences, congresses and courses on clinical pharmacology, therapeutics, pharmacoeconomics in the range of a therapy of diseases.
The scientific activities taken by the Polish Society comprise clinical trials led by the members of the Society and cooperation with the international societies for clinical pharmacology. The members of the society participate in promoting high ethical standards in clinical drug research and elaborate expertises and decisions related to clinical trials and drug evaluation.
Polish Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics is a member of European Association for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (EACPT), that bounds national societies from European countries.
