The 11^th International Congress of Polish Herbal Committee was organised by the Polish Herbal Committee together with the Research Institute of Medicinal Plants. In order to widely perform the problem of herbal medicine we organised the 11^th International Congress of Polish Herbal Committee as a satellite symposium of the 7^th Congress of European Association for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (EACPT).

11th International Congress of Polish Herbal Committee is the most important Polish forum to exhange opinions in the field of herbal drugs. We are glad that it is a very interesting event with an international rank, especially in the jubilee of 75th Anniversary of Polish Herbal Committee.

We have invited to the Congress a group of prominent scientists from different environments professionally related with herbal medicine and herbal drug from Poland and abroad.

The participation of many guests from the whole Europe and the lecturers from the leading scientific centres undertaking the topic of herbal medicine proove that the Congress is recognised as a relevant event. Among the undertaken subjects were those connected with legislation, pharmacology, dietetics, breeding and also with the cultivation of plants. Invited specialists presented the current state of the knowledge in the field.

The lectures delivered duting the 11^th International Congress of Polish Herbal Committee concern the International Network 'Interactions between herbal and synthetic drugs. Advantages and risks', coordinated by the Research Institute if Medicinal Plants.
